ePub3 is the latest version of the ePub standard (released in 2011) with enhancements and multimedia features. ePub3 contains more enhanced functionality comparatively than ePub2. This standard is also maintained by the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF).
ePub3 was updated to include better support for foreign languages, embedded media, and other core features and enhancements.
